If you want us to visit a local Tulsa area restaurant and then write a review about it here, please let us know in the comments section below this post.
Criteria:
- The restaurant or business must be locally owned and operated, so franchises are out at this time… Why? Well there are tons of websites here in Oklahoma that review the franchises but few that give preference to restaurants and businesses that are MADE in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
- Businesses just outside of Tulsa are ok to mention here also… we can’t make promisses but we will do our best to visit.
- None of the site reviewers on TulsaTonight.com get paid to write reviews, so keep this in mind when suggesting a place and try to avoid high dollar places that are more than likely going to reviewed by professional reviewers at TulsaWorld and UrbanTulsa.
- Don’t tell the owners of the business that we are going to review them please! We want to be treated as regular customers… Hey, we want to be treated the way you’d be treated if you were to visit the business and we DON’T want freebies or special consideration.
- Be sure to provide the full name of the business and the address.
- Do your best to recommend unique, Mom and Pop owned businesses that perhaps are in need of our vistors visits. If a business or restaurant is already packing customers in every night, it might be better for us to help that 1st time restaurant that just needs a little push to get it going rather than a business that is already thriving.

I recommend visiting Memories of Japan in Broken Arrow. I feel that their restaurant not only stands up to the bigger, more well known Japanese restaurants but it blows them away. I really enjoy the calamari. dancing eel roll and Tulsa roll.

I have heard about Memories from several friends and everyone has given positive reviews. I will be in that area this week, so I will stop by for lunch or dinner.
Thanks Debra!

I love reading Tulsa Tonight, especially the posts about food and restaurants around the city. I grew up in S. Tulsa and then Bixby and still try to keep up with what’s happening in my former home town.
I thought your readers might be interested in a review of locally-owned Carrabba’s Italian Grill.
We have some new items on the menu, and we’d love for you to come try Carrabba’s and do an honest review.
In case you aren’t familiar with Carrabba’s, here are a couple things you should know:
Each Carrabba’s location has LOCAL ownership. Carrabba’s works in true partnership with actual local owners at every restaurant occasion.
Every dish is completely FRESH. All items - sauces, doughs, desserts - are made from scratch every morning.
Thanks!
Well Sarah,
I am so impressed with Carrabba’s. I hope you like our review.
CARRABBAS - REVIEW
Memories of Japan is fantastic. They have a great lunch deal, two sushi rolls with a california roll and either soup or salad for $3.99, I think.
Sushi, I would say, is about a 7 - 8 out of 10, since it lacks visual flair, but it tastes great.
